You cannot negotiate with the ultimate evil.
We can only fight and prevail.

About us

Nanokadabra expands the world presented by Tomasz Kołodziejczak within the "Ostatnia Rzeczpospolita" book series. In the books, humanity struggles to hold off supernatural threats from beyond our realm. With unexpected allies in the form of Elves, we stand our ground to protect our identity. Nanokadabra shares both old and new tales set in a world of magic and technology, intricately woven together by a sense of unity.

Project Goals

“NanoKadabra will focus on showcasing heroes from around the world. We are collaborating with artists native to each culture to bring authentic stories and depictions of heroic deeds. Our goal is to find common ground and to highlight what unites and uplifts us during times of need and suffering.

We aim to create captivating narratives across various means such as comic books, board games, and more!”

The Eclipse

Magical beings known as Invaders attacked Europe and other continents through one of the gates. The war, called The Eclipse, started. Invaders conquered huge areas and killed millions of people. Others have turned into slave breeds as cattle - because they feed on human fear, suffering, and harm. Their kingdom is called Gehenna. Here in the giant cities resembling concentration camps, people are bred. They also convert the selected children into their warriors, “Jeggers”.
It also changed the geography of the continent. For example, the Scandinavian Peninsula was sunk, and the Italian peninsula is now an archipelago.
Other newcomers appeared together with the invaders, and we called them Elves. The remaining humanity is working with them to defeat our common foe.

World Today

Virtually every aspect of life in the free world is militarized. Battle magic is created, e.g., by the train track web and the timetable, by the lighting of large cities, or by the rhythms of church bells. People and societies in the free world lack resources. Globalization is no longer. Military expenditures are the number one priority.
Mankind is fighting by guns and grenades, swords and magical artifacts, tanks and spells woven with poetry.
World of NanoKadabra is full of unfathomable beings whose only goal is to enslave humanity, wipe all kind of inviduality, cultural or ethnic connections. Infestation has already begun. Conquered teritories are turned into barren wasteland filled with pens where human slaves are being breed like animals. To describe masters of this immense evil, humans used existing cultural references...
Invaders are mysterious beings that have been fighting Elves for what seems like eternity. Logical, unstoppable and efficient, they have fused their plane of existance into Earth, bringing torment and despair in a way that has not been seen before. Jeggers are their army - human slaves fused with outerworldly worm parasite. Encased in vile armor, riding twisted grotesque mutated horses, they are stewards of wastelands. Their warmachines fuel fear and despair in minds of free world.
But there are more threats. For example, the Red Mist is crawling into our realm from somewhere in the East. It encases our towns and enters through gaps in our geomantic cultural shields. Slowly but firmly, it destroys everything it touches. Urka-hai are beings living in Red Mist. They form unstoppable hordes that attack humanity's outposts. No one knows how or why, but they seem to resemble the worst visions of what humanity can become.
NanoKadabras are spells that originate from the common belief and values that a community shares. If enough people believe a sword is magical it will be magical.
If a symbol or historic figures represent something that is perceived as good the stronger magic it can become. It's why the canon of human culture is used as a root and base of magic - music, poetry, myths, historical names, facts and legends.
NanoKadabras allows to make intangible appear in the real world and wield it to protect our loved ones. It represents the best of what we as humans have to offer.
On the contrary Phags (or evil magic) is born out of suffering and hatred, all things that divides humanity. It manifests the worse of our nature.
